Lost Trail Outfitters operates in Colorado’s highly sought-after Unit 76; a vast, rugged region known for limited tags, low hunting pressure, and strong elk numbers. With multiple backcountry camp locations and optional cabin lodging, we’re prepared for a wide range of weather and hunting conditions throughout the season.
Our guides are selected for their deep knowledge of the country, proven hunting ability, and respect for the land and animals they pursue. They know how to hunt this terrain, read elk behavior, and adapt daily to changing conditions; from shifting weather patterns to elk movement and hunting pressure.
Our base camps are strategically located in remote, high-mountain valleys and accessed by horseback. This allows hunters to stay close to prime areas, shorten daily travel, and adjust locations as conditions dictate throughout the hunt. We handle camp, meals, horses, and logistics so hunters can focus on the hunt. Each day includes a pre-dawn breakfast, field lunches and snacks, and a hearty dinner with dessert back at camp.
